5 Poets Breaking Into Song
5 Poets Breaking into Song, of which Giovanna Riccio is an integral contributing member of, is an ongoing multimedia performance series created, curated, and hosted by renowned Canadian poet and former Parliamentary Poet Laureate George Elliott Clarke. It pairs original poetry readings with newly commissioned musical compositions, bringing together diverse regional poets and accomplished composers. The project which was launched in 2021, is an ongoing series which has produced more than 20 distinct showcases. Shows frequently feature international representation, multi-lingual translations and partnerships with public libraries.
